Our client is seeking TWO Benefits Coordinators to join their team and assist members with their 401(k) benefits by handling incoming member inquires, verifying member's eligibility for withdrawals, preparing reports, and processing payments. There are two positions available, each in a separate department.

Qualified candidates will be able to handle a high volume of incoming calls, possess excellent communication skills, and can handle and maintain sensitive data.

$21 to $22 an hour


  • Input/edit member information in database.
  • Handle member inquiries via phone calls and walk-ins including general inquiries, account balances, statements, hours of business, benefit application packets, plan rules and regulations, etc.
  • Assist with verifying member's eligibility for benefit withdrawals and send follow-up letters or denials as needed.
  • Process benefit verification requests from financial institutions, mortgage companies, unemployment office, etc.
  • Correspond with members and financial institutions regarding payments status.
  • Review and process tax levies, garnishments, forfeited financial security fund applications, etc.
  • Review and process death benefits to beneficiaries.
  • Prepare reports for quarterly Board of Trustees meetings.
  • Perform a quarterly search for missing participant information.
  • Review and process Required Minimum Distribution Payments semi-annually.
  • Review uncashed checks on a semi-annual basis and reissue payments as needed.
  • Process return mail by logging and scanning into system.
  • Scan and file all benefit applications and member correspondence into database.
  • Create and organize files for storage and maintain inventory of various of documents.
  • Prepare mailing lists and coordinate the distribution of participant notices/mailings as needed.
  • Travel including overnight on average 4-5 times a year, company paid.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Ability to handle high volume of incoming calls.
