Mechanical Engineer

A locally owned contracting company is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer to join their team and contribute to the design and construction of products. In this role, you will make equipment and material recommendations, test prototypes, draft technical drawings, and perform basic engineering calculations. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to gain more experience in the mechanical engineering field.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree in mechanical engineering and previous experience with CAD software.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay

$60,000 a year

Responsibilities

• Make equipment and material recommendations.
• Help test prototypes and troubleshoot mechanical design issues.
• Validate components and assemblies.
• Produce 3D drawings and other fabrication documents.
• Complete a bill of materials and data sheet once the product design is finalized.
• Perform basic engineering calculations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering (open to candidates graduating in May/June 2024).
• Previous experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Knowledge of basic engineering principles.
• Knowledge on current industry technology and processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
