Web Designer

A Hawaii based tech company is seeking an experienced Web Designer to temporarily assist with handling the design maintenance of websites, preparing illustrations, and creating and providing comps, templates, and finished solutions. This is a temporary position for 6 weeks, with possibility of extension of up to 4 months.

Qualified candidates will have their bachelor's degree in graphic design, art, or related field, a minimum 4 years of experience in web-based graphic design and/or web interface design, be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and knowledgeable with HTML, XML, Java, and CSS.

This position comes with a temporary Monday to Friday schedule and parking is provided. Apply today to be immediately considered.

Pay

$25 an hour

Responsibilities

• Handle the design maintenance of all websites and other electronic publications and applications.
• Responsible for the preparation of illustrative materials from artists and vendors.
• Ensure all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types/screen settings and also with the constraints set by development team and design.
• Work with marketing and development teams on the style and approach for all projects.
• Provide design elements, comps, templates and finished solutions.
• Participate in efforts to improve the quality of websites and other electronic publications as required.
• Ensure all websites and electronic publications meet industry and government standards and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, art or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in web-based graphic design and/or web interface design.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Knowledgeable with markup and programming languages including HTML, XML, Java, and CSS.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and still meet deadlines.
