One of the largest companies on Oahu is looking for a qualified Admin to assist their workers' compensation department through the end of the year, possibly longer. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

Pay

$19 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the manager and staff of the workers’ compensation claims office.
  • Assist with general office work such as date/time stamping, printing, copying, and scanning documents, data entry in claims system, sorting and filing various workers’ compensation claim documents.
  • Prepare and draft various documents, training materials, and resources using Word, Excel, PowerPoint for Manager’s review.
  • Perform project-related tasks and timely record status and results.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers and team members via written documentation, e-mail, and phone calls.
  • Coordinate schedules and logistics for meetings or training sessions.
  • Manage phone coverage and other department needs.
  • Maintain medical privacy compliance and confidentiality of all department discussions, files, and records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of general office experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Ability to create flow charts in VISIO is a bonus.
  • Ability to type 45 wpm.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to handle and work with confidential, difficult, and/or sensitive issues while using tact, courtesy, and discretion.
  • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines with thorough, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adapt to rapidly changing priorities.
  • Motivated, dependable, hardworking.
