A local distribution company is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team and be responsible for answering phone calls, maintaining their filing system, and processing retail credit applications.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Microsoft Office and have basic knowledge of administrative, clerical and office management procedures.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Pay

$20 to $25 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and relay messages.
  • Handle incoming mail duties.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system.
  • Handle requests for information and data.
  • Maintain office supply inventory and order as needed.
  • Prepare photocopies, faxes and mailings as needed. 
  • Process retail credit applications.
  • Provide support for audits as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems.
  • Knowledge of basic office management procedures. 
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
