A local non-profit is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team and be responsible for the accurate and timely recording of financial data related to personnel, accounting, and other programs.
The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree, 2 years of accounting experience, and Financial Edge experience.

$65,000 to $80,000 a yearResponsibilities
- Manage all AP/AR duties.
- Process check disbursements.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Prepare quarterly county reports.
- Prepare and review journal entries.
- Create and deactivate GL's and departmental codes.
- Review invoice coding to ensure proper allocation to GL's.
- Review paper certificates and disbursements.
- Assist with annual audit and tax schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- Experience with Financial Edge.
- Experience with NXT preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting policies and procedures.
- Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
