A local non-profit is seeking an experienced accountant to join their team and be responsible for the day-to-day duties of the finance department. Duties include reconciling bank statements, managing financial transactions, and creating journal entries.
The ideal candidate will have their associate's degree and 3 years of accounting experience.

$50,000 to $60,000 a yearResponsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Review and create journal entries for corporate card charges.
- Update and report available funds for programs.
- Provide backup coverage for cash receipts/donor data specialist.
- Assist with daily sales balancing and post daily sales journal entries.
- Assist with scanning and shredding documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in accounting required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
- Proficient with computerized accounting and payroll systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
